Television programmes such as 'A place in the sun', 'No going back' and loads of many others have seriously got the British thinking, who would never have, in a million years, thought of moving to a foreign country where the language was not even English.

These tv programmes have, of course, pushed the Francophiles amongst us and those who have spent many a happy vacation in France to also take the plunge. And ofcourse the programmes have also told us which areas the British are attracted to so you could be at home when away from home.

The regions are already catering for an invasion of Brits with the local schools gearing up for an intake of English students with French language beginner classes being held a number of times a week.

France, as it is not only pulling in the young couples wanting to own dwellings and searching for employment but also middle aged couples wishing to retire from work early. Those already retired go to France by releasing equity in their UK properties and are able to purchase something cheaper. In any case in recent years there has been an increase in the number of British wishing to take advantage of the French way of life and culture.

Property price rises in the England in the llast ten years, in comparison to rises in France, also means that there is now even more opportunities to release equity in at home and buy in France where house priceds differences are now so pronounced.
